[S3E26] Once Upon A Time

The episode kicks off with Chloe (Lauren German) chasing after a bad guy and then being gunned down by three men with automatic weapons. A voice-over by God (Neil Gaiman!) tells us that once upon a time there was a world like ours but with one small change that changed everything.

Geo-Force melts the ground until he has Bedlam trapped. He begins to hit him several times for his crimes until Bedlam surrenders. Geo-Force contemplates this and believes surrender is too easy. He is about to take another strike when Beast Boy stops him. Deathstroke speaks into Terra's earpiece, telling her that Bedlam is the cause of all her family's misery. Kill Beast Boy now and nothing can stop Geo-Force from ending Bedlam once in for all. Terra raises a piece of the ground and slowly lifts it over Beast Boy's head. Both Beast Boy and Geo-Force are taken aback by Terra's action. Before Terra can make another move, Tigress interrupts, telling Terra that she doesn't have to listen to Deathstroke.

During an interview with ComicBook.com, back in 2018, executive producer Joe Henderson opened up about the decision of approaching Gaiman to lend his voice for the God's voiceover. He revealed that he grew up on Sandman so because of the show he got the opportunity to mail the author once or twice a year. He added that when he pitched the idea of Once Upon a Time, he had it in mind that the narrator would be Neil Gaiman. He also shared that he loved his audiobooks and during the time they were developing the episode, he had Gaiman's voice in his mind. 041b061a72
